First, the temperature monitoring system collects the winding temperature and core temperature of the dry type transformer in real time through temperature sensors embedded in the low-voltage winding of the dry type transformer, such as Pt100 platinum thermal resistors or optical fiber temperature sensors. These sensors can accurately measure temperature changes and convert temperature signals into electrical signals for transmission.
Secondly, the collected temperature signals are transmitted to the control unit of the temperature monitoring system. The control unit processes and analyzes the received signals to determine whether the current temperature state of the transformer is within a safe range.
When the temperature of the dry type transformer exceeds the preset threshold, the temperature monitoring system will automatically trigger an alarm mechanism. For example, when the winding temperature reaches 110°C, the system may start the cooling fan for heat dissipation; when the temperature continues to rise to 155°C, the system will output an over-temperature alarm signal to remind the operator to pay attention and take corresponding measures.
If the temperature continues to rise and reaches a dangerous level, such as 170°C, the temperature monitoring system will send an over-temperature trip signal to the secondary protection circuit to quickly trip the transformer to avoid equipment damage and safety accidents such as fire.
In addition, the temperature monitoring system also has data storage and data analysis functions. The system can record historical temperature data and generate temperature curves and reports to provide a basis for transformer operation management and fault diagnosis.
The communication and control function of the temperature monitoring system is also an important part of it. The system can transmit the monitored data to the remote monitoring center or mobile terminal in real time to achieve remote monitoring and management. At the same time, the operator can also operate and control the relevant equipment of the transformer through the remote terminal, such as starting or stopping the cooling fan.
The temperature monitoring system of the dry type transformer ensures the safe operation of the transformer through real-time monitoring, alarm, tripping, data storage and analysis.
